Oregano is one of the strongest and most potent essential oils and has been used for centuries in traditional health practices due to its skin-cleansing properties. The main chemical components of Oregano are carvacrol and thymol, both of which belong to the phenol group and have cleansing properties. Due to the high phenol content, caution should be exercised when inhaling or diffusing oregano; just one to two drops is sufficient. Additionally, when applied to the skin, Oregano should be diluted with doTERRA fractionated coconut oil. Oregano blends well with bergamot, cedarwood, cinnamon, cloves, eucalyptus, frankincense, ginger, lavender, lemon, rosemary, and thyme.
